How cheats worked in GTA V on PS5

  • Which version: on PS5, GTA V is the Expanded and Enhanced edition from 2022. The combos are the same as on PS4 [1] [2].
  • Combos: enter the buttons quickly during play, or in the pause menu. A “Cheat Activated” message confirms it [1].
  • Phone: press Up on the D-pad, open Contacts, press Square, dial the number, then press Square again [1]. Press * on the dial pad to redo your last cheat [1].
  • Limits: some cheats show “Cheat Denied” during missions or in tight spaces [1].

Do cheats disable PS5 trophies?

In GTA V, yes, for that session only. Any cheat disabled trophies and capped mission medals at bronze; restarting and reloading a save switched trophies back on [1] [2]. For GTA 6 it’s Unknown. See GTA 6 trophies.
