The 210 GB PS5 download size
GameSpot reported that the X account PlayStation Game Size lists the GTA 6 standard edition at 210 GB on PS5. Neither Rockstar nor Sony has confirmed a size.
DATAMINE Unclear Still unconfirmedGTA 6 Trailer 1 leaked a day early
A low-res, heavily watermarked copy of the first GTA 6 trailer was posted on X on Monday 4 December 2023, a day before its planned Tuesday premiere, so Rockstar released the official trailer early.
LEAK Likely ConfirmedThe September 2022 GTA 6 footage leak
A hacker posted a 3GB file of 90 early GTA 6 development videos on Sunday 18 September 2022, and Rockstar confirmed the next day that the footage was stolen in a network intrusion.
LEAK Likely ConfirmedThe 2022 report of a Vice City setting and a female lead
In July 2022 Bloomberg reported that GTA 6 would have two Bonnie and Clyde-inspired protagonists, the female lead Latina, in a fictionalised version of Miami.

What the labels mean
- LEAK material or information that got out without permission (footage, files). DATAMINE found in store or game data. RETAILER LISTING a shop's listing ahead of an announcement. INSIDER a report citing people familiar with the game. RUMOUR a claim without a clear origin.
- Credibility, judged by the source's track record: Likely a source with a strong record, or several reputable outlets agree. Unclear plausible but thin or a single source. Doubtful a weak record, or it conflicts with official information.
- Status: Still unconfirmed no official word yet. Confirmed Rockstar later confirmed it (we link the official story). Debunked official information contradicts it. Each item shows when its status last changed.
GTA 6 leaks: what's actually leaked
Two leaks were big enough to get an official response. In September 2022 about 90 early development clips were posted online, and Rockstar confirmed a network intrusion (details). In December 2023 the first trailer leaked a day early, so Rockstar released it ahead of schedule. Store data has produced smaller leaks, such as the reported 210 GB PS5 download size.
GTA 6 rumours: how we handle them
A rumour only gets a page if reputable outlets have covered it and we can name the source. We give it a credibility label, mark its status, and update it when Rockstar confirms or contradicts it. Claims we can't trace to reputable coverage are left out.
GTA 6 leaked map
No official map file has leaked. Rockstar's trailers show Vice City and the wider state of Leonida, and fan maps piece the layout together from official footage. Our interactive map uses fan-mapped data from gtadb.org, labelled as fan-mapped. Treat any "full leaked map" claim as a rumour until Rockstar shows it.
GTA 6 leaked gameplay
The only widely reported gameplay leak is the 2022 one: early development footage with placeholder art and debug text, which Rockstar confirmed was stolen. We don't link or show it. For gameplay Rockstar has released itself, see the official trailers, including An Extended Look.
GTA 6 insiders: who to trust
We judge insiders by track record. A reporter or outlet whose earlier GTA 6 claims were later confirmed gets a Likely. Anonymous accounts with no record get Unclear or Doubtful. For example, Bloomberg's 2022 report of a female lead in a Miami-like setting was later confirmed by the first trailer. We don't publish personal details about anyone.
