Where these figures come from
The comparison with GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2 and the combined landmass comes from Rockstar's interview with Edge magazine, reported by GameSpot on 29 October 2026. [1] In August, Screen Rant reported that Rockstar's co-head of development Rob Nelson gave the same "twice GTA 5, three times Red Dead 2" ratios to content creator TGG during a hands-off preview, adding that Vice City alone is about double Los Santos. [1] We label the Vice City figure Reported because it reached us second-hand.
Why there's no square-mile number here
Rockstar has given ratios, not areas. Fan mappers publish their own estimates, but those come from trailer tracing and partly from leaked material, so we don't quote them as fact. We'll compare against Rockstar's own map once it's out.
The official map arrives on launch day
Rockstar says that on 19 November it will add an official printable cover-art poster and map of Leonida to its website as a free digital download. A double-sided physical version will follow "shortly after launch" from the Rockstar Store, for US$0.99 on its own or as a free gift with any Rockstar Store purchase.
