Edge interview: Leonida's landmass is nearly GTA 4, GTA 5 and RDR2 combined
GameSpot reported on 29 October 2026 that Rockstar told Edge magazine the GTA 6 map is roughly twice the size of GTA 5's and three times Red Dead Redemption 2's, and that its total landmass is nearly as big as the playable maps of GTA 4, GTA 5 and RDR2 combined.

Screen Rant reported on 27 August 2026 that Rockstar's co-head of development Rob Nelson told content creators the GTA 6 map is twice the size of GTA 5's and three times the size of Red Dead Redemption 2's. The figures came via a video from GTA creator TGG after a hands-off preview.
