No. You can't legitimately play GTA 6 before midnight local time on 19 November 2026. Pre-loading from 10 November only downloads it. Neither edition lists early access, and because the unlock follows your account's store region, not your location, changing your console's time zone does nothing.

What's confirmed
- PS5 unlock: midnight local time on 19 November Confirmed [1]
- Pre-load from 10 November, which downloads but doesn't unlock the game Confirmed [1]
- Editions: Standard and Ultimate. Neither PlayStation's GTA VI support page nor Rockstar's pre-order post lists early access for either Confirmed [1] [2]
The time zone trick: does it work?
No. Changing the clock or time zone on your console doesn't change when a store releases a game. Store listings set the unlock by account store region: New Zealand first at 11:00 UTC on 18 November, then Australia (12am AEDT, 13:00 UTC on 18 November), through to Mexico and Central America at 06:00 UTC on 19 November. Reported [1] Xbox has said its releases follow "midnight local time on the release date in your corresponding country", with some multi-time-zone countries using one time. Reported [1]
What about a New Zealand account or a VPN?
A game bought on one region's account belongs to that account, so you'd need to buy it again on a New Zealand account, and region rules differ by store. We don't recommend it. Rockstar Support also lists using a proxy or VPN, and not meeting regional requirements, as causes of sign-in errors on its services. Confirmed [1] Whether Rockstar or the stores act against early regional play for GTA 6 is Unknown.
