GTA 6 launches as a single-player game, so there are no GTA 6 online servers to go down at launch. What can fail is the download and sign-in side: PlayStation Network, Xbox network and Rockstar's own services. Check the three official status pages below before you troubleshoot your console.

Launch-day status
Before launch: no GTA 6 outages reported. The game unlocks at midnight local time on 19 November, region by region [1], so heavy store traffic is spread across about 19 hours (see release time by country). We'll note real, officially acknowledged outages here and on our launch live blog, with the time in AEDT and a link to the status page that showed it. We won't repeat outage claims from social media without an official source.
If the status pages are all green
The problem is probably local. Restart the console and router, check you're signed in to the account that bought the game, and confirm you have 212 GB free. Download-specific fixes are on GTA 6 pre-load not downloading, and confirmed launch bugs go on known bugs.
