Why Switch searches keep coming up
"GTA 6 Nintendo Switch" and "GTA 6 Switch 2" are common autocomplete queries. A portable version would be a separate product, with its own announcement, rating and store listing. As of 6 November 2026 we have not seen one from Rockstar, Nintendo, PlayStation or Xbox.
GTA 6 is also a very large download. Rockstar says the pre-load needs up to 212 GB depending on device. Confirmed [1] That figure is about current consoles; it does not tell us anything about a hypothetical Switch build.
If you only have a Switch, you will need a PS5 or an Xbox Series X|S to play on 19 November. Last-generation consoles are out as well: see is GTA 6 on PS4 or Xbox One?. We will update this page if Nintendo or Rockstar posts a Switch announcement.
