Is GTA 5 free? and similar searches
Promotions that make Grand Theft Auto V free for a weekend or on a store change often. We are not tracking every Epic, PlayStation Plus, or Xbox freebie calendar on this page. The honest answer: buy or claim only through official storefronts - Rockstar Store, PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, or other authorised retailers. Confirmed Rockstar still sells GTA V and GTA Online on its store [1]
A random "free GTA 5 full game" ZIP or torrent is the same class of risk as a fake GTA 6 free download: malware and stolen accounts. See our GTA 6 page for the same rule applied to the new game: no free GTA 6 download.
GTA Online money hacks and drops
We do not list Online money drop discords, mod menus, or "free Shark Card" generators. Those are third-party tools, not Rockstar products, and they are a common malware and ban vector. Rockstar's own GTA Online page describes an ever-evolving online universe - not a free-money service. Confirmed [1]
For GTA 6 specifically: no money cheat or hack is confirmed, and launch is single-player. Unknown for cheats · Confirmed single-player [1] Details: GTA 6 hacks and GTA 6 cheats (Live · N including 0).
Will GTA Online shut down when GTA 6 launches?
No, according to Take-Two's October 2026 statement as reported by Game Rant: "GTA 6 is a single-player title and is due to release this November. We will continue to support GTA Online after GTA 6 release and beyond." Reported [1] A separate GTA 6 Online mode, name, and date remain Unknown.
