Why "free GTA 6 PC" searches are a trap
Rockstar and Take-Two have not announced a PC version for launch. PlayStation's page and Rockstar's pre-load Newswire describe PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Confirmed [1] [2] [3] A page promising a free GTA 6 PC download is selling something that does not officially exist. Details: GTA 6 PC release date.
Fake "free download" pages often ask you to install a cracked launcher, disable antivirus, or enter card details for a "verification". We do not host, link, or recommend those files. If a site needs you to turn security off to "get GTA 6 free", close it.
The only legitimate ways to get the game
- Digital: PlayStation Store, Microsoft / Xbox Store, or the Rockstar Store. Confirmed [1] [2] [3] [4]
- Physical (code-in-box): Rockstar Store says physical versions contain a download code only — no disc — to support pre-load. Confirmed [1]
- Pre-load: digital pre-orders can pre-load from 10 November 2026; PlayStation asks you to clear at least 212 GB. Confirmed [1] [2]
