12 new official GTA 6 screenshots appear in Edge magazine issue 430
By Leo Vance · Published · Updated
On 29 October 2026 RockstarINTEL reported that Rockstar Games had released a dozen new Grand Theft Auto VI screenshots. The images appeared with Edge magazine issue 430, which RockstarINTEL described as the Christmas 2026 edition, then out digitally ahead of a later print release. They show Lucia, Jason and VCPD officer Méndez up close, plus natural shots and Vice City's skyline. This is coverage of Rockstar-provided magazine images, not a Rockstar Newswire gallery, so we label it Reported and we are not hosting the stills. Reported

What the new screenshots show
RockstarINTEL's Aaron Trueman wrote on 29 October 2026 that the twelve shots are different from others released in the preceding month or so. In that account they show Lucia, Jason and VCPD's Méndez up close, alongside natural shots and a look at Vice City's skyline. GamesHub, covering the same drop, said the images surfaced on 29 October, three weeks before the 19 November 2026 launch, and that the Edge feature carries 14 Rockstar-provided images, 12 of which are new. One of those, GamesHub reported, goes underwater and shows a hammerhead shark gliding through a coral-lined passage in Leonida, the game's Florida-inspired state.
We are describing those images rather than reproducing them. The stills belong to Rockstar and were published through Edge. The write-ups we opened are on RockstarINTEL, which displayed the magazine shots, and on GamesHub. Anyone who wants to see the pictures should use those outlets or Edge itself. This site does not host official Rockstar artwork or trailer stills.

The Edge 430 cover story
RockstarINTEL said the screenshots accompany a 16-page cover story in Edge issue 430, with interviews with senior designers at Rockstar who offer exclusive insights. It described the issue as the Christmas 2026 edition, already available digitally on 29 October, with print copies due to ship to subscribers and newsstands a few weeks later. GamesHub referred to the same feature as the November 2026 issue of Edge.
GamesHub added that the piece was built on a roughly 90-minute session in which Rob Nelson, Rockstar North co-studio head and head of development, played a current development build and answered journalists' questions. According to GamesHub, Nelson told Edge the game is "ready" and restated his confidence that GTA 6 will hit its 19 November 2026 release date.
Other details GamesHub drew from the same feature
GamesHub also summarised systems described in that Edge session. Jason and Lucia's relationship is tracked on a four-point scale that grows through shared activities, and Rockstar declined to comment on whether the two can get married. A separate Criminal Profile, ranging from Professional to Irredeemable, tracks how they behave, and GamesHub reported that Rockstar said player behaviour can affect how their story unfolds. Certain story missions cannot start until the pair have the cash, which GamesHub said players can raise by robbing petrol stations, hitting jewellery stores or stealing cars that fences have asked for.
Police, in GamesHub's account, remember what they have seen, including clothing, weapons, vehicles and CCTV sightings, so swapping or ditching those items reduces what the authorities have on you. GamesHub also wrote that the player's arsenal is stored in a vehicle trunk, owned cars can be summoned through Scooter Bros, and Leonida has rideable bus and train systems. We are repeating GamesHub's summary of the magazine feature; we have not independently opened Edge 430 for this post.
How this fits with other Edge coverage
This site has already covered two other strands from Edge's GTA 6 issue: Rockstar's comments on Leonida's landmass, first reported on 29 October, and Aaron Garbut's description of the weather system, reported on 4 November. Those posts did not cover this screenshot set. We are adding the screenshots angle now so the gallery is logged with sources, still without hosting official artwork on the homepage or in this article.
Because the images were supplied for a magazine feature rather than posted as a Rockstar Newswire gallery, the label is Reported even though Rockstar provided the stills. Grand Theft Auto VI launches on 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Digital pre-loading starts on 10 November.
