Giant GTA 6 screens light up St Kilda Junction in Melbourne, POPTOPIC reports
By Leo Vance · Published · Updated
Australian pop culture site POPTOPIC reported on 3 November 2026 that Grand Theft Auto VI advertising has gone up across Melbourne, including enormous curved digital screens and billboards at St Kilda Junction and a large character mural at the corner of Collins Street and Elizabeth Street in the CBD. The story, by Evie Rose, follows local creator Retro Maggie's video tour of the sites and features a photo of the St Kilda installation by jdb (@jikeiscool). It is outdoor advertising documented by fans and press, not a Rockstar announcement. Reported

What is at St Kilda Junction
According to POPTOPIC, the St Kilda Junction installation shows pink-and-orange character artwork stretching across curved digital displays, with a conventional billboard above an older building and another large advertisement on its wall. In a separate set of photos, jdb places the installation near Seekers Way. POPTOPIC quotes Retro Maggie saying the installation looks way bigger in real life.
POPTOPIC says its featured photo, credited to jdb / @jikeiscool, received AI-assisted cropping and photographic enhancement by POPTOPIC. We mention that because it means the published image is not an untouched photo; the existence of the screens is supported by the video tour and other photos the article describes. We have not reused any of those images.
“Retro Maggie has been out documenting Grand Theft Auto VI advertising around the city, capturing enormous curved screens at St Kilda Junction and a mural in the CBD.”
The Collins and Elizabeth Street mural
Retro Maggie's second stop, per the article, is the corner of Collins Street and Elizabeth Street, where a large GTA VI character mural sits above the street. POPTOPIC notes that both locations are busy streets with awkward parking, so if you go to look, stay on the footpath.
Since that story ran, VICSIG's fleet list has also shown two Melbourne trams in GTA VI advertising liveries from 4 and 5 November, which we cover separately.
Release date check
Rockstar's own release information is unchanged: the Rockstar Games GTA VI page still lists 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with digital pre-load opening on 10 November. No PC version has been announced. POPTOPIC's article also states that Rockstar still lists 19 November for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S launch.
We label this Reported because it is press coverage of outdoor advertising, not an official statement. We opened POPTOPIC's article on 7 November 2026 (AEDT) and repeated only what it states.
