Two Melbourne trams now carry GTA 6 advertising liveries, VICSIG fleet list shows

By · Published · Updated

Two Melbourne trams have been wrapped in Grand Theft Auto VI advertising, according to VICSIG, the Victorian rail and tram enthusiast site that keeps a running list of the city's advertising trams. Its list, last updated on Friday 6 November 2026, shows E-class tram E2.6071 from Southbank depot carrying the livery since Wednesday 4 November and D-class tram D2.5011 from Brunswick depot since Thursday 5 November. Both are listed in pink, yellow, blue and white. Rockstar has not posted about the trams on its Newswire. Reported

Which trams have the GTA 6 livery

VICSIG's advertising tram page lists E2.6071, an E-class tram allocated to Southbank depot, with the advertiser Grand Theft Auto VI and the note video game release, starting on Wednesday 4 November 2026. A second tram, D2.5011, a D-class Maxitram from Brunswick depot, is listed with the same advertiser from Thursday 5 November. VICSIG gives the colours of both as pink, yellow, blue and white, which match the Vice City colours used across Rockstar's launch artwork.

VICSIG notes that Melbourne's advertising trams change livery often and that advertising trams are managed by buspak. The list does not say which routes the trams run on; that depends on depot rostering and can change day to day, so we have not named routes.

Part of a wider Melbourne campaign

The trams are not the only GTA 6 advertising in Melbourne. POPTOPIC reported on 3 November that large curved screens at St Kilda Junction and a mural at Collins Street and Elizabeth Street are carrying GTA VI artwork; we cover that in a separate story. Taken together, they show Melbourne getting a sizeable share of the outdoor launch push in the final weeks before release.

Rockstar's own release information is unchanged: the Rockstar Games GTA VI page still lists 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with digital pre-load opening on 10 November. No PC version has been announced.

How we checked this

We opened VICSIG's advertising tram list on 7 November 2026 (AEDT) and have repeated only what its table states: fleet numbers, depots, advertiser, start dates and colours. We label this Reported rather than Confirmed because the source is an enthusiast fleet log, not an announcement from Rockstar, Yarra Trams or the advertising agency. We have not used anyone's photos of the trams.
